It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace

FREE EVENT – IN PERSON AND ONLINE

Over the past two years, the ALIVE National Centre has heard from over 400 people about their priorities in mental health research. Some of the related priorities shared with us are:

  • Addressing workplace discrimination
  • Safe mental health disclosures at work
  • Supporting employees with lived experience
  • Inclusion for workers with disabilities
  • Strategies for well-being and symptom management at work
  • The importance of compassion and flexibility in the workplace

This year’s World Mental Health Day theme is “It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace”.

On 10th October 2024, join us in a panel discussion (in person or online) at 12:30pm – 1:30pm (AEDT) hosted by the ALIVE National Implementation and Translation Network. The panel discussion will be moderated by Josh Reid Jones (Social Impact Professional) and joined by our panellists: Dr Mark Cross (Psychiatrist, Author), Prof Angela Martin (Researcher, Educator) and Dr Alicia King (Researcher).

In person venue:

Melbourne Business School Lecture Theatre 2 at The University of Melbourne. You are also welcome to join in person at the local sites at the ALIVE National University partners (more details soon).

After the panel discussion, we will have the Reflect and Connect session (in person only) in Melbourne and across the ALIVE National partner local sites for deeper conversations on what’s not been covered in today’s discussions that matters for people (diversity, capitalism, structural inequities, racism and colonisation).
