Mia Pellizzer

Flinders University

Whose research influences you?

I have been fortunate to work with Professors Tracey Wade, Marika Tiggemann, and Glenn Waller in my Honours and PhD research (focused on body image and eating disorders).

Are you a lived-experience researcher?

Yes

If so, how does lived or consumer experience shape your research?

While I have not researched in my area of lived experience (depression), I feel it gives me a greater insight in my work as both a mental health researcher and clinical psychologist.

We’d love you to share an image that represents your topic or passion in mental health research

I was asked to draw my super power in a recent learning network I was involved in on Co-Design with TACSI. I am “Super Nerd” – I love learning and researching!
